Rees Mogg and co must be singing ‘If I ruled the world’ with different lyrics to the song sung by Tony Bennett because they are on some fictional planet nowhere near reality and will be cushioned by the impact of Brexit which will hit this country’s economy like a tsunami. Simply put and excuse me for saying so as I am sure this is now obvious to everyone, as a country we will no longer be able to trade on our current terms after March if Britain crashes out of the EU and that means a lot of businesses will have already realised this and taken appropriate action or those that are slow to react will go to the wall.
On a visit late 2017 that I undertook covering a number of stops that included the Far East visiting our existing and potential client base, the mood out there is that this country is not being taken seriously because we are being governed by fools who are outspoken and ignorant in the reality of their actions. A lot of our friends and customers, people we have had business dealings with for a long time have said that they are not hearing the right noises coming out of Britain we have become a nation that is inward looking and individuals such as Theresa May, Boris Johnson and Liam Fox who are recognised faces on the world stage have little respect abroad.
In the months that follow I anticipate that there will be huge numbers of people added to the thousands already unemployed, a lot of you should be more concerned and thinking about your own futures rather than discussing football and before anyone says what am I doing on this site? I too am a Fulham fan, have been for over 50 years.
I am not part of the so called Project Fear and have no allegiance to any party or those other phrases used to describe Remainers and Leavers my observations are based purely on my own experiences. You may think what you will of my thoughts and your own situation but like many people I have a mortgage and a family that requires my support. If I appear to sound alarmist and you feel that I too am outspoken I make no apologies for telling the truth.
