Rumours going around we are close to signing Torino Sasa Lukic and Sheffield United Sander Berge. There is talk of £30m total for the two midfielders and we are also looking at another midfielder, Andre a Brazilian. I see Burge was left out of the team tonight FA Cup game against Wrexham, the offer for him is said to be £20m plus add-ons. If we going into the Championship I wish we would go for Victor Gyokeres at Coventry City, he has got 12 goals so far this season, there was some talk that Fulham were interested but it seems to have gone quiet. Gyokeres it’s not easy to spell is a good striker and could fit in for Mitro. We need a striker not a collection of midfielders it’s always midfielders. Also I was not impressed with Diop yesterday he had a stand out performance for all the wrong reasons, it’s a big worry although we have Duffy who I don’t rate.

You didn’t mention Cedric Soares from Arsenal. He is 31 years old, can’t get on the bench at Arsenal and expects to be paid £100k a week, this is a crazy move as cover for Tete. There are several younger players who we should be looking at playing for Millwall and Norwich for example. Ok they don’t have EPL experience but you could say the same of Soares he hasn’t played in the EPL for a long time, he is happy looking like a film star in front of the camera than a pro footballer.

It's that silly time again with so many rumours. It’s all these sites putting out headlines to grab your attention, I don’t believe any of them instead I wait until the closing hours of tomorrow’s deadline. Another thing writing on these sites is appalling, these people can’t write properly and definitely can’t spell. Watch out for the site that comes up frequently on Newsnow that’s unsafe, open that one and you are likely to get a virus.

I heard that Arsenal fans were not happy when their club signed Cedric on a permanent contract. There is talk that Cedric may be loaned out to us with a permanent deal in the future. If he can’t get on the bench at Arsenal what good is he going to be at Fulham? I don’t think Kenny Tete will be worried about losing his position to Cedric.

Let’s wait and see about Cedric Soares, there is an issue with his loan as we already have our full quota of loans from other EPL clubs. Apparently there is a stumbling block to Brighton’s advantage if Duffy is given a permanent deal at Fulham, maybe the problem is that the club can’t agree a price for Duffy as Brighton see an opportunity to stall until their unrealistic price is met. Is this going to drag on and go to the wire? In the meantime maybe the club could consider alternatives for the position? I am hoping we would go for a younger player. It’s all gone quiet on Lukic apparently he is flying to London to complete the deal? As for Berge Fulham now face competition from Newcastle for his signature.

Well one bit of good news is that Nathaniel Chalombah is in talks with West Brom over a move, let’s keep fingers crossed that works out before the window closes. Could never work out what Marco saw in Chalombah hope he is not making the same mistake with Cedric, players he worked with in the past who don’t quite work out now.

Not every manager can get transfers 100% right. Roy Hodgson had his fair share of poor transfers as did a lot of managers. You can’t blame a manager to bring in someone they know, who they have worked with in the past to do a job. Sometimes it works and then again it doesn’t. I was never a fan of Chalobah. Another player Diop is completely different as he never played for Marco but we were looking for a CB and Diop was the only one around, available and with EPL experience. So far Diop in my eyes has a lot to prove. It’s not easy in the transfer market because of all the issues faced by a manager. I am happy what Marco has achieved for the club and continue to have my faith in his judgement on and off the field. One look at the EPL table confirms my belief in Marco.

This morning news is that the club have turned their attention to Josh Brenet at FC Twente as talks for Cedric stall because of his wage demands. Cedric is on £65k not £100k as previously suggested by some. Brenet is 28 years as opposed to Cedric who is 31 years. Brenet has a familiar ring to it from days gone by I think is a good omen, one of our greats Rufus of course.

Watching the news seen Chalobah has gone to WBA great news. Hoping for more good news, no to Cedric instead we get a younger alternative, another striker and midfielder.

The only name I am familiar with is Duffy, Lukic I do not have a clue and as for Cedric I will have to put my faith in Marco's judgement.
